Record high flows (as of 12 noon, June 15) since 1993, have resulted in failure of the LPA debris boom.  The large amount of material is dangerous to boating and boating will cause further spreading of the material, making it even more difficult to remove. If the debris stream is not disturbed by boat traffic or wake, it may, by force of the increasing flow, take much of it through the lake and over the dam.

As of noon, Saturday, the flow was still rising and expected to continue.  Members should secure vessels and lifts to permanent shoreline fixtures as flows are now exceeding the capacity of the gated spillway to release water.  Lake levels will rise.

Please stay off the lake for your safety.  Members will be permitted to assist in clearing debris after flows go down and will be subject to several criteria which can be found on the website emergency announcements.
